Einladung zum Dailogue

In Kooperation mit der Deutschen Telekom hat Lumen eine Publikation herausgegeben, die den Dialog für einen verantwortungsvollen Umgang mit Künstlicher Intelligenz fördern soll. Die internationalen Beiträge, Interviews und Porträts sind digital unter www.dailogues.ai und analog in einem von uns gestalteten Booklet erhältlich.

Aus Sicht von Lumen Design war früh klar, dass Ethik nicht nur ein inhaltliches, sondern auch ein gestalterisches Thema ist. Deshalb haben wir für die Publikation eigene thematische Kategorien entwickelt, die zentrale ethische Dimensionen von KI strukturieren – etwa Verantwortung, Transparenz, Macht, Würde, Nachhaltigkeit und gesellschaftliche Resonanz. Diese Kategorien dienen nicht als abschließendes Modell, sondern als offene Denkarchitektur, die Leserinnen und Leser zur eigenen Positionierung einlädt.

FAIRNESS
Diese Kategorie widmet sich Fragen von Gerechtigkeit, Teilhabe und Nicht-Diskriminierung. Im Fokus stehen algorithmische Verzerrungen, Machtasymmetrien sowie die Verantwortung bei automatisierten Entscheidungen. Die Beiträge machen deutlich, dass Fairness kein technisches Feature ist, sondern eine gesellschaftliche Aufgabe.

GAINS
Hier geht es um Fortschritt, Nutzen und wirtschaftliche Potenziale von KI – stets im Spannungsfeld zwischen Innovation und Verantwortung. Die Beiträge untersuchen, wie Wertschöpfung entstehen kann, ohne soziale, kulturelle oder ethische Grundlagen zu unterlaufen.

SUSTAINABILITY
Hier beleuchten wir ökologische, soziale und strukturelle Nachhaltigkeit. Thematisiert werden unter anderem Energieverbrauch, Ressourcenfragen sowie die langfristigen Auswirkungen von KI-Systemen auf Gesellschaft und Arbeitswelten.

UNSAID
UNSAID eröffnet Raum für Perspektiven, die im gängigen KI-Diskurs oft übersehen werden. Philosophische, kulturelle und kritische Beiträge stellen grundlegende Fragen nach Mensch-Maschine-Beziehungen, Narrativen und den Grenzen technologischer Rationalität.

PORTRAIT
In unseren Porträts und Gesprächen kommen Akteur:innen aus Forschung, Wirtschaft, Design und Praxis zu Wort. Sie geben Einblick in individuelle Haltungen, Entscheidungsräume und Verantwortlichkeiten im Umgang mit KI.

Gestaltung als ethische Praxis

Aus Sicht von Lumen Design ist Ethik nicht allein eine Frage von Inhalten, sondern auch von Form und Gestaltung. Deshalb wurden die Kategorien, die visuelle Sprache und die Dramaturgie der Publikation bewusst so angelegt, dass sie zum Innehalten, Lesen und Weiterdenken einladen. Gestaltung wird hier als Medium des Dialogs verstanden – nicht als Dekoration.

Stimmen aus dem Feld der AI Ethics

Die Publikation versammelt führende internationale Stimmen aus dem Umfeld von AI Ethics. Die Autor:innen und Gesprächspartner:innen bringen unterschiedliche kulturelle, wissenschaftliche und professionelle Perspektiven ein. Gerade diese Vielstimmigkeit macht sichtbar, dass es keine einfachen Antworten gibt, sondern nur verantwortungsvolle Annäherungen.

KI: Digital und analog

Die Inhalte sind sowohl digital als auch in einem von Lumen Design gestalteten Booklet verfügbar. Die bewusste Entscheidung für ein analoges Format folgt der Überzeugung, dass ethische Reflexion Zeit, Aufmerksamkeit und einen physischen Denkraum braucht.

Enter the Dailogue

In cooperation with Deutsche Telekom, Lumen has published a booklet designed to promote dialogue on the responsible use of artificial intelligence. The international articles, interviews and profiles are available digitally at www.dailogues.ai and in print in a booklet designed by us.

From the perspective of Lumen Design, it was clear from the outset that ethics is not only a matter of content, but also of design. For this reason, we developed distinct thematic categories for the publication that structure key ethical dimensions of AI—such as responsibility, transparency, power, dignity, sustainability, and social resonance. These categories are not intended as a closed model, but as an open architecture for thinking, inviting readers to reflect and position themselves.

FAIRNESS

This category addresses questions of justice, participation, and non-discrimination. It focuses on algorithmic bias, power asymmetries, and responsibility in automated decision-making. The contributions make clear that fairness is not a technical feature, but a societal responsibility.

GAINS

Here, the focus is on progress, value creation, and the economic potential of AI—always within the tension between innovation and responsibility. The contributions explore how value can be generated without undermining social, cultural, or ethical foundations.

SUSTAINABILITY

This category examines ecological, social, and structural sustainability. Topics include energy consumption, resource use, and the long-term impact of AI systems on society and the world of work.

UNSAID

UNSAID creates space for perspectives that are often overlooked in mainstream AI discourse. Philosophical, cultural, and critical contributions raise fundamental questions about human–machine relationships, narratives, and the limits of technological rationality.

PORTRAIT

Through portraits and conversations, voices from research, business, design, and practice share their individual perspectives, decision contexts, and responsibilities in working with AI.

Design as an Ethical Practice

From the perspective of Lumen Design, ethics is not solely a question of content, but also of form and structure. The categories, visual language, and overall dramaturgy of the publication were deliberately designed to encourage pause, attentive reading, and continued reflection. Design is understood here as a medium of dialogue, not as decoration.

Voices from the Field of AI Ethics

The publication brings together leading international voices from the field of AI ethics. The authors and interview partners contribute diverse cultural, academic, and professional perspectives. This plurality makes clear that there are no simple answers—only responsible and ongoing approaches.

AI: Digital and Analog

The content is available both digitally and in a printed booklet designed by Lumen Design. The deliberate choice to include an analog format reflects the conviction that ethical reflection requires time, attention, and a physical space for thought.
